Personal Injuries Are Frustrating. Calling Me Is Easy.

Let me handle the frustration for you. As an attorney working at an established personal injury firm with a rich history for honesty and results, I take pride in the time I spend easing clients through what often seems like a bizarre process. If I am not in court or on the other line, I am always available for a client to contact me with questions or concerns about their claim. Good communication is a cornerstone to any successful attorney-client relationship and remains an important part of my daily practice.

A successful attorney-client relationship also requires the patience and sensitivity to handle very private, and sometimes embarrassing injuries. I have worked on behalf of individuals with personal injuries from motor vehicle collisions, slips and falls, negligence, and medical negligence. Some of this work has included injuries related to birth, burns, spine and neurological, kidneys, traumatic brain injuries, infection, and surgery. I have both the skill to listen to victims harmed by the carelessness of others, but also to communicate and advocate for that victim respectfully and aggressively.

Unlike other attorneys, I fight for my client's bottom line. Some attorneys do not care what the client receives as compensation for their injuries so long as the attorney gets paid. Attitudes like that are a disservice to our communities, therefore I take the time to negotiate reductions in my client's liens and medical bills, and fight for a result that will net better compensation for my client regardless of my fee.

When I am able to, I handle small legal matters pro bono. It is exciting to be able to give back to the community by providing my services to individuals who cannot afford legal services. I also volunteer time as an attorney for claimants of the Client Security Fund with the Oregon State Bar. Outside my role volunteering as an attorney, I give my time to various groups that provide outreach to Portland Metro communities such as safe bike helmet drives and fittings for children, and donating food and supplies to pet rescues.

I studied at Michigan State University for my undergraduate degree, spent 6 months abroad studying at Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Quito, Ecuador, and completed my law degree at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. Professionally I am a member of the Oregon State Bar, Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, The American Association for Justice, and Multnomah Bar Association.

If you ever catch me out of the office, I'll probably be on an adventure with my family and my trusty Jack Russell Terrier in tow.
